Identical Twins Swap Roles as Adults

Many families contain identical twins and family lore often revolves around how these twins swapped places with each other when they were children. Well, apparently, this trend also extends into adulthood, as told by the following story in Reuters. In Italy, two 54-year old twins, one of whom was a part-time judge, switched roles for the day when the judge had a conflicting appointment with another client.

The problem was her twin sister was neither a lawyer nor a judge and did not know her way around a courtroom. Of course, that did not stop her from charging for her services. The twins were found out and now both get to sit on the other side of the bench – as defendants charged with fraud. Perhaps all those old family stories about the twins swapping roles might just have a grain of truth in them.
