How to Change Your Family History with Photos

Tracing your family history through old photos is about to get much more difficult for future generations. The widespread use of photo editing software such as Photoshop is altering the reality of past events. People have used these programs for several years to touch up their photos: remove the red eye from wedding pictures; perhaps turn that grey overcast sky in a vacation snapshot into a blue sky.

According to the New York Times, people are now using photo editing software to totally erase family members from pictures, perhaps due to divorce or other reasons. Finding the black sheep of the family by looking at old family photos just got a little bit harder.
